The principal objective of this course is to solve elementary problems of a random nature using the foundations of statistical mathematics. A selection of problems about Descriptive Statistic, Probability, Random Variables, Probability Distributions, and Statistical Inference will be proposed and solved.

At the end of the course, the students should be able to analyze and explain data corresponding to statistical events using the foundations of descriptive statistics, solve related problems to random phenomena using basic probability techniques and models of probability distribution, and predict specific situations by using of statistical inference methods.
